Studying more for effective volunteering.
In order to be effective, a non-governmental organisation must understand its goals, strengths, and weaknesses, be able to plan its budget properly, etc.
Because the volunteer organisation is a non-profit organisation, it is extremely important to find a stable source of income to meet the urgent needs of the military and fund the “Holos Zhinky” social project.
To understand all the nuances, the UWB team took a grant training from ISAR Ednannia @isar.ednannia.
From October 2023 to January 2024, the management of the Ukrainian Women’s Battalion took part in courses as part of the “Iniciatyva Sektoralnoi Pidtrymky Hromadianskogo Suspilstva Ukrainy” project.
What did we study?
- Strategic and operational plans.
- Different types of activity analysis.
- What types of policies should a volunteer organisation have and how to write them.
- What is fundraising and how to organise it properly.
What did it give us?
- Analysed our current operations, strengths and weaknesses.
- Developed a strategic and operational plan for 2024-2026.
- Wrote a Procurement Policy.
