At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, many Ukrainians attended rallies abroad.
Over time, the number of protesters has been decreasing. Many people believe that this is a waste of time.
Is this really so?
We talked about this with Natalia Panchenko @natalia.ua, the head of the NGO «Euromaidan Warsaw» @euromaidan_waw .
The performance with the Druzhba gas pipeline, from which Ukrainian «blood» flows, the blockade of the Polish-Belarusian border, the «terrorist matryoshka», and the silent protest in memory of the victims in Olenivka are the most striking and well-known actions of «Euromaidan Warsaw».
«At the beginning, we understood that we had to do everything to get russia declared as a terrorist state, and for today, this has already been achieved. But at the time, it seemed like an unrealistic plan that would never come true», Natalia shares NGO’s successes.
«Would Ukraine still exist if Ukrainians around the world had not taken to the streets during the full-scale invasion? There would have been no weapons and support for Ukraine, and the ‘3 days’ plan would have been very likely.
Thanks to the fact that there are many conscious people who have joined the rallies, we managed to do a lot».
«Our organisation had a huge impact on the fact that trade between russia and the European Union is now banned. Of course, there is smuggling, there are circumventions, but this cannot be equated to the scale that would have been if this trade had continued. This is billions of euros every month.
And this has a huge impact on how much money goes into the russian budget, and then into the production of missiles and so on. And this is what just our organisation has done. Imagine how many there are in the world».
Ukrainians abroad should demonstrate that the struggle for our country and for our people continues, we will never give up and will always stand with Ukraine!
If you are abroad, come to the rallies. This is an important part of our fight.
