Today is the first day of spring😍

No one knows how it works, but spring always brings more inspiration, faith and goodness.

Everyone expects positive changes and prepares to celebrate the most important holiday of spring.

Can you guess what we are talking about?

Of course, the main event of the first month of spring is March 8, the International Women’s Rights Day, not a celebration of spring, beauty, and so on…

So why has the day of the struggle for women’s rights had a completely different character in our minds for many decades?

With the “help” of the Soviet government in Ukraine, this day lost its primary importance.

As early as March 1857, women began organizing demonstrations to draw public attention to their problems.

And on March 8, 1910, in Copenhagen, on the initiative of Clara Cetkin, the Women’s Forum won the right to make this day an international holiday for women’s rights.

Modern Ukrainian women share the views of their predecessors on gender equality.

And they prove it not in word but in deed. Right now, despite all the stereotypes and difficulties at the front, women soldiers are defending our land side by side with men.

Join our initiative “March 8 at the frontline”

There is no such thing as a holiday of spring and beauty anymore.

8 March is International Women’s Day. The day of struggle for their rights that for Ukrainian women continues not only in our society but also on the front line.

We are all citizens of our country, who are absolutely equal and have to work either AT the front or FOR the front.

By now, according to official statistics, 60 000 women are fighting for our freedom and security.

Therefore, the NGO Ukrainian Women’s Battalion offers to congratulate and give a bit of warmth to our brave women soldiers who cannot be with their families on this holiday.
