Defeat or victory? What two years of full-scale war have given us.

2 April 2022 will now be remembered as a day of heroic resistance by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defenders and local residents who endured all the horrors of the occupation of Kyiv region and risked their lives for the sake of freedom and independence of our country.
Return of the defenders home
29 June 2022 is considered to be the day of the largest public POW exchange, although exchanges have been taking place on a regular basis since March 2022, but that day the whole of Ukraine cried with happiness. It was the first time that Azovstal’s defenders and the Azov Regiment’s soldiers were released.
*Since the full-scale invasion, more than 50 exchanges have already taken place and about 3,135 Ukrainians have been released.
Liberation of Zmiinyi Island.
The place that became known to all Ukrainians for the first time because of the response of our defenders to the “russian warship” became part of the history of war.
On 7 July 2022, we raised the Ukrainian flag on Zmiinyi Island and gained a real advantage in all actions where we involve our fleet.
Liberation of Kherson
On 11 November 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the city of Kherson.
After eight months of intimidation, abductions and torture by the occupiers, the locals did not give up and waited for Ukraine to return.
They held rallies and buried Ukrainian flags so that on the day of deoccupation they could take them out and celebrate with the whole country.
Return of Ukrainian children home
On 25 August 2023, with the support of international organizations, a mechanism of returning underage Ukrainians was developed and successfully launched.
The enemy deports children illegally and without any records of their parents, but we continue to fight for a free childhood in their homeland and provide needed rehabilitation for them.
Our national victory
During the past two years, we have become united in the fight for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Volunteer movement, social enterprises, modern start-ups, cultural figures, and athletes all support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and most important, they identify and associate themselves only with Ukraine.
So, despite all the difficulties now, we have to remember how far we already have come and understand the cost.
Today is the day of 24.02 again, but it is no longer a day of perplexity, fear and panic, but of togetherness, unity and a desire to help in order to continue to fight for the Victory.🙏🇺🇦
On this day, all Ukrainians share a sense of connection and affliction that spreads across all spatial boundaries, uniting us and bringing us back to the memories of that terrible day.💔
We will always remember how much pain, fear and horror this date brought us, but today we want to focus on how many remarkable victories these two years of full-scale invasion gave us.🙏
